Mexican Drug Lords and Los Zetas

I'm sure most of you have heard of Los Zetas. The question is do you know who they are?

Los Zetas is a paramilitary Mexican drug cartel. Innocently enough, they started out as members of the Mexican Army. They attended the military School of the Americas in the United States, where they received training as Special Operations troops. This training included, among other military subjects, marksmanship, ambushes, small group tactics, aerial assault, intelligence collection, counter-surveillance techniques, prisoner rescues, and advanced communications. They than received advanced training in SpecOps warfare from US, Israeli, and French instructors in Mexico. The next thing they did, of importance, was desert from the Mexican Army.

Hired as a mercenary army to protect the drug shipments of the Gulf Cartel, they have since combined with the cartel and taken over a number of key leadership roles. The US Drug Enforcement Agency considers them to be the most violent paramilitary group in Mexico. Los Zetas have expanded operations into Europe with a subsidiary, Ndrangheta, based in Italy.

Los Zetas has since recruited former federal, state, and local police officers.  However, most of the original 31 members have either been killed or captured. The newer members aren't quite as sophisticated as their mentors, but they are just as violent. They wear body armor, they carry AR-15 and AK-47 rifles and MP-5 submachine guns. They have M-2 .50 cal. machine guns, grenade launchers, SAMs and helicopters.

As early as February 2005, the Zetas were credited with three murders in Dallas. They have infiltrated Dallas, Houston, and San Antonio and may have moved as far as Nashville and Atlanta. This was 5 years ago. Where are they today?

We know they're in Arizona. They now "own" about 3,500 acres of Buenos Aires National Wildlife Refuge.  The feds have told us that some areas of the Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument are closed to visitors. Visitors have also been warned about illegal aliens and drug smuggling in the Ironwood Forest National Monument, the Sonoran Desert National Monument, Cabeza Prieta National Wildlife Refuge, and the Coronado National Forest. Foreign "military" personnel have entered the United States. They now control large quantities of Federal land. IF THIS ISN'T AN INVASION, THAN I DON'T KNOW WHAT IS.

What is the Bureau of Land Management doing - nada. The Border Patrol - nada. The US Army - nada. Local law enforcement - as much as they can. The invaders have killed Border Patrolmen, Park Rangers, Deputy Sheriffs, Indian Reservation Police Officers. They've placed a $1,000,000 bounty on the head of the Maricopa County, AZ Sheriff and probably the Pinal County Sheriff as well.

The Center for  Immigration Studies has a video, from hidden cameras, located at http://canadafreepress.com/index.php/article/25886. This video shows, over a 39 day period, over 800 illegals, drug smugglers, armed men, and NO BORDER PATROL.

McCain is right. AZ needs military on the border. Now that Mr. Obama has removed the combat troops from Iraq, and he's such a buddy with Mexican President Cardenas, perhaps the 1st Armored Division, based in El Paso, could help the Mexicans end this problem. A platoon of Abrams tanks in support of a Company of Bradley Fighting Vehicle mounted troops will make a believer out of the recipients.

This isn't even the tip of the iceberg. It's more like the tip of a straight pin. How do you feel about open borders now?

God Bless America.

Gunner Sends.
